Cambridge is a city for all seasons with its array of inspirational museums, art galleries and world renowned architecture, however, Cambridge comes into its own during the summer.
The Exoplanets II Conference will be hosted at the Guildhall which is situated right in the heart of the Historic Quarter of Cambridge town centre, facing the Market Place. The Guildhall is a listed building designed in 1939 by Charles Cowles-Voysey and includes two halls, The Large Hall and The Small Hall where the conference will be held.
Getting around: Cambridge is known worldwide as a cycling city and there are many places to hire bikes. Due to the historic nature of the city, cycling or walking is by far the best way to get around, and a good chance to witness the vibrant nature of the city first-hand.
Arriving by rail: Trains run several times an hour between London and Cambridge. Good connections are also available from Birmingham, Edinburgh, Manchester and Peterborough.
Arriving by air: Stanstead airport is only a 30 minute train journey or 45 minute drive from Cambridge. Trains operate frequently.
